BASIC MAINTENANCE: SOAP VENDING MACHINES

Provided by Commercial Sales – 2001

Keeping each component of your soap vending machine clean from dirt, wax, ink and soap powder is the key to providing years of trouble-free service.

Plastic Coin Drops

Soak in warm sudsy water, checking the coin path for dirt buildup. Scrub the coin drop with an old toothbrush.

Metal Coin Drops

Wipe down with a hot damp cloth, then scrub any heavy buildup with an old toothbrush.

Coin Slides

Wipe with a clean cloth. Use a dry silicone spray to smooth the slide movement. Do not use any type of oil or spray on plastic or metal coin boxes, as oils will attract dirt and dust.

Machine Maintenance

Powder buildup in the soap column, soap platform, vend mechanism or delivery slide can cause problems. Wipe down all areas in contact with boxes of soap with a hot damp cloth and allow them to dry. Do this once a week or whenever you refill the machine. Once a month, coat these areas with a thin layer of car wax to help the boxes travel smoothly.
